John is Founder and Director of Choi Studio, an architectural practice with an experienced team and reputation for cutting-edge, award-winning projects. Prior to Choi Studio, John co-founded acclaimed practice CHROFI by winning an international design competition for New York’s iconic TKTS Booth in Times Square. TKTS became widely known for its innovation and urban strategy, and its lessons continue to inform his work. John co-directed CHROFI for 25 years.
John served as Adjunct Professor of Architecture at University of Sydney from 2010-2018; is a member of NSW State Design Review Panel, and is Deputy Chair of 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
