James Sippo

Dr James Sippo, local to the Northern Rivers, is a research and industry fellow at Southern Cross University, focusing on coastal wetlands, rivers and estuaries. He is passionate about research that has real-world outcomes, which has led to his interest in carbon credit methodologies. In 2022, he worked on the development of a carbon credit method for coastal wetlands for the Australian Government.
James is currently working on multiple large-scale carbon and nutrient budgets for aquatic ecosystems.
