Living Memory: Stories and Portraits Celebrating North Lismore

Exhibition
19 Jun—7 Aug 25
Living Memory is an exhibition that brings together stories, history and memories that celebrate the North Lismore community. It's a celebration a suburb transitioning from a vibrant residential neighbourhood to a new future.
Behind this exhibition is a small team motivated to capture and publish stories of North Lismore before they are lost, alongside many community members who have generously shared their experiences and time.
Developed in collaboration with community members, the exhibition features photographic portraits, recorded interviews and personal memorabilia contributed by residents, offering a snapshot of life in North Lismore. Together, these materials capture a shared sense of place and belonging, and preserve the stories of a community undergoing significant change.

Oral histories
Our exhibition features six edited oral histories created with members of the North Lismore community. These edited conversations are a taste of the larger collection of 25 oral histories which will be included in the final project archive.
